Most Grievous Fault
Meg Todd
Crystal Constantine, 29 years old and struggling to pay the rent and meet the overwhelming needs of her 14-year-old daughter, Becky, who is suspected of having fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, is not coping well. But when Becky responds positively to the rules and structure of a private Catholic school, Crystal starts to think that a similar change to her life – that is, dating the straitlaced, religious Tim – might work. But in order to do so, she has to hide who she is and perpetuate the intergenerational trauma that started with her own alcoholic mother.
