Book Launch: Elizabeth of Bohemia by David Elias

Join David Elias in celebrating the release of his new book, Elizabeth of Bohemia.

Elizabeth of Bohemia is a cinematic historical novel about the life of the Winter Queen, Elizabeth Stuart, an ancestor of Queen Elizabeth II.

In October of 1612, sixteen-year-old Elizabeth reluctantly moves to Heidelberg Castle after a hasty marriage to Prince Frederic of the Palatine. The fierce, young Elizabeth pours all her ambitions into seeing her husband crowned in Prague.

When the Hapsburg emperor is weakened, Frederic is aided by the Bohemian rebels and takes over royal duties in Prague. Elizabeth becomes the queen of Bohemia, but within the year, Frederic, Elizabeth, and their children are forced into exile in The Hague and Elizabeth begins this new stage of her life as the resilient Winter Queen.

David Elias is a novelist based in Winnipeg. His work has been nominated for several awards, and he has travelled extensively in the footsteps of Elizabeth of Bohemia to write this book.
